Kevin Shepherd

Kevin moved from his native town of Bognor Regis with a burning ambition to become a successful stand up comic.

Once he had conquered his initial fears Kevin quickly became a regular at many clubs. He also got through to The Laughing Horse new act of the Year Final 2002 and came second in the Krater New act of the Year 2002 at the Komedia in Brighton.

His friendly face and manic energy are proving successful with all types of audience. He is equally at home performing a set or compering. Clubs that he has played at include, The Banana Cabaret, The Comedy Store, The Glee Club, Soho Ho, The Bearcat, The Frog and Bucket, Just the Tonic, Jesters, Rawhide, The Chuckle Club, The Comedy Store, The Comedy Café and Up the Creek. He has travelled the length and breadth of the country and even travelled as far a field as Bahrain. However his love of performing means that his mission to entertain the world has only just begun.

"Kevin Shepherd is a charismatic young man with a sharp wit and cheeky humour the audience was taunted, with varying degrees of force. But only the faint-hearted or excessively squeamish failed to warm to such an amiable battering, and, after all, audience involvement is what stand-up is all about." - Bahrain Extra. Bahrain.

"He then gave way to Kevin Shepherd, who packed the next 20 or so minutes with as many jokes as some comedians manage in an hour. He switched between anecdotal and punchline based humour with ease, and left us eager for more." - BBC Lincolnshire.

"Assured stage presence, deadpan delivery and good gags." - Last Laugh. Sheffield.

"Kevin's friendly face and light touch comedy was a hit with the Knutters. He got hold of the audience and held them to the end, they really listened and laughed." - King Knut's Club. Peterborough.

"Cuts a confident and assured figure." - Chortle.

Irish comedian and actor Paddy Lennox first burst on to stage as a Stand-Up in 2001 only to be interrupted with a couple of comedies at the Shakespeare Globe Theatre and filming in far off lands, before returning to his new found passion. An engaging and instantly likeable comic, Paddy combines topical material with observational routines. "Simply a scream" Belfast Telegraph.

As an actor Paddy has already clocked up a pretty impressive list of theatre, film and TV credits. He recently played the lead in the farce 'Perfect Wedding' at the prestigious theatre venue - Mill at Sonning. "beautifully played and surprisingly moving" The Stage.

He's also an excellent voice-over artist and has voiced numerous commercials in the UK and Ireland.

Jools was born with comedy juices running down his inner thigh and took his talents to the stage for the first time during 2006. This former Vicar has an ego the size of Norfolk and the bravery of a small terrier. Initially working gigs within workingmen's clubs and local pubs, then moving on to comedy venues and universities.

Still moving forward Jools has now done over 80 gigs and has made 2007 his year to get his name known on the comedy circuit. Equally comfortable as MC or doing sets up to 40 minutes long.

Jools arrived at the 2007 Edinburgh fringe as a comparative unknown. Within days of his arrival he was appearing in 3 guest spots a day and ended up doing over 35 gigs during his two week visit. The appearances including an invite to do the opening spot for a major Burlesque show, (on stage just after Jim Bowen,) at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. As a result of his Edinburgh appearances he has now been invited to play a range of venues around the country, by comics and promoters who enjoyed his sets.

The Edinburgh experience has meant that his material and delivery have matured beyond recognition. Now delivering a series of fresh, original, topical observations and funny stories, he has emerged as a performer ready for a range of audiences, from small clubs through to corporate events and universities.

As semi finalist in the 2007 BBC 'Funny Business' competition, (televised autumn 2007,) there is clearly more to come from this new comic whose career is progressing quickly. This progress is thanks to his unique style, excellent stagecraft and warm rapport with his audience.
